Responsibility:

Failure to follow the instructions in this manual, as well as any modifications to the original parts, is the responsibility of the owner of the bicycle. In addition, the ThirtyOne31 brand cannot be held responsible for incidents resulting from incorrect use, modifications or lack of maintenance of the bicycle. Therefore, we recommend that you carry out routine maintenance work with your authorised ThirtyOne31 dealer, who is able to maintain an ideal level of safety and performance of your bike. Also, for the supply of spare parts, we advise you to trust your authorised ThirtyOne31 seller.

In-season, ThirtyOne31 reserves the right, for technical and/or commercial reasons, to make modifications to the frame, mechanical parts, finishing or accessories of its bikes. Consequently, illustrations, descriptions and published information should be considered as non-contractual.

Without prejudice to the provisions of articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code relating to the quality of the products sold, ThirtyOne31 grants a contractual guarantee under the conditions indicated below.

This warranty applies only to ThirtyOne31 bicycles purchased from an authorised ThirtyOne31 seller or distributor and the ThirtyOne31 merchant site. This warranty applies only to ThirtyOne31 bicycles that have been serviced within the first 6 months of purchase and at least once a year in subsequent years at a ThirtyOne31 authorised seller. The ThirtyOne official revision form duly completed and stamped by the authorised ThirtyOne31 seller will be considered authentic.

Frames:

The ThirtyOne31 rigid frames guarantee of the original assembly, takes effect from the date of the purchase invoice and for a period of five years.

The warranty of the fully suspended frames of the bicycles conforming to the original assembly takes effect from the date of the purchase invoice and for a period of two years.

Frames alone benefit from the minimum guarantee conditions required by the law of the country where the sale/exchange took place.

The warranty covers the frames against any defects and defect of manufacture or matter recognised as such by the technical services of ThirtyOne31.

Parts and forks:

The ThirtyOne31 rigid fork warranty in accordance with the original assembly, takes effect on the date of the purchase invoice and for a period of five years.

The ThirtyOne31 Suspension Fork Guarantee, which conforms to the original assembly, takes effect on the date of the purchase invoice and for a period of two years.

The ThirtyOne31 parts guarantee takes effect on the date of the purchase invoice and for a period of two years.

For the ThirtyOne31 electric bicycle models, the battery-motor assembly warranty takes effect on the date of the purchase invoice and for a period of two years.

The warranty covers the original parts against any defect or defect in assembly, workmanship or material. The warranty is limited to the replacement of any part found defective by the ThirtyOne31 technical service.

The warranty conditions for parts and forks other than ThirtyOne31 are defined by each of these brands. These same brands therefore ensure the after-sales service.

Implementation:

Any dispute regarding this warranty must be submitted to a ThirtyOne31 authorised distributor or by contacting us via the “contact” form.

No return will be accepted without prior agreement from the company ThirtyOne31. Any item returned without the agreement of ThirtyOne31 will be made available to the buyer on our premises and will not be exchanged or will give rise to any credit, any compensation on the initiative of the buyer being otherwise prohibited.

Exclusion of warranty:

Damage due to incorrect installation by the user, modification of the original parts, improper use or maintenance, accident, and all damage following the modification are excluded from the warranty of the technical characteristics of origin not resulting from the initiative of the manufacturer.

Excluded from the warranty are ThirtyOne31 bicycles used in competitions, for professional use or outside the conditions of use detailed in this manual.

The warranty does not include any problems arising from an accident or abnormal or excessive use.

On the other hand, the warranty does not cover finishing alterations (paints, surface treatments, etc.) due to wear and tear, whether on the bicycle or other ThirtyOne31 components or poor maintenance.

Normal wear and tear, due to the aging of any component of the bicycle, such as: brake pads, tires, inner tubes, cables, handles, chains, ducts, does not fit into the frame of the warranty.

The wear parts of the fork and the shock absorber (seals, guide rings) will therefore always be excluded from the warranty.

Certain executives may not be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, upon notification by ThirtyOne, due to their technical specifics or their intended purpose for competitive use, subject to express information from ThirtyOne31.

The cost of labour for partial or total replacement is excluded from the guarantee.

WARRANTY APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Registration

It is essential for the customer to have registered their purchase by sending the registration form provided in the warranty booklet within 3 months of purchase, or by completing the online form on our website: www .thirtyonebikes.com. The customer will find this registration form in the “register a bike” section. Any bicycle not registered within three months of purchase will be governed by the minimum warranty conditions required by the law of the country where the sale was made.

Application

The guarantee can only be applied after production of the necessary documents duly completed.

It is necessary to provide your authorised ThirtyOne31 seller with your warranty claim form and attach a copy of the original invoice and the official revision sheets so that ThirtyOne31 technical services will initiate the processing procedure and assign a number to your authorised ThirtyOne31 seller.

Once your tracking number is assigned to your seller, you seller will send us your information by e-mail to the ThirtyOne31 After-Sales Service email address. Upon receipt of the necessary documents, the technical services team will acknowledge receipt of the request and will analyse your request. In the absence of the complete documents or the non-respect of the conditions of guarantees quoted above in the pages of this booklet, the procedure of assumption in guarantee cannot be validated.

Any dispute regarding this warranty must be submitted to a ThirtyOne31 authorised distributor or by contacting us via the “contact” form

Returns made by the buyer for the implementation of the above-mentioned guarantee will be at the sole expense and risk of the buyer.

The tracking number will be the necessary tool for customers to know the status of the resolution of their warranty file. Any material returned should be marked with this tracking number in order to allow ThirtyOne Technical Services to trace its history.

In order to limit the risk of deterioration and disputes during transport, ThirtyOne31 cannot accept the sending of complete bicycles and only the defective parts must be returned for assessment. The cost of transportation, packing, disassembly and reassembly are the responsibility of the customer. Any material returned without prior agreement or without a tracking number will be returned immediately at the customer’s expense. The defective part(s) must be shipped in a clean and neat condition. The parts ordered are strictly reserved for repair in workshop and cannot, under any circumstances, be offered for sale.

Like any mechanical component, a bicycle undergoes high stress and wears out. Different materials and components may react differently to wear or fatigue. If the life expectancy of a component has been exceeded, the component may rupture with one slight movement, which may result in injury to the cyclist. Cracks, scratches and discolorations in areas with high stresses indicate that the component has exceeded its life and must be replaced.
